Book Review – Dream Golf: The Making of Bandon Dunes

Thanks for sending Dream Golf Ross. He recently had the privilege to play at Bandon’s courses and had a phenomenal time. This book delves into Mike Keiser’s vision of creating links golf on the southern coast of Oregon. He went against the grain to bring a bit of Ireland and Scotland to North America. Course designers McLay-Kidd, Doak, Coore and Crenshaw are discussed and contrasted. The hurdles that had to be overcome and the persistence makes for a compelling story. I played there when only Bandon Dunes and Pacific Dunes existed in 2006. It is even better. Enjoy the read.
