This is the second time that Barb and I have been very fortunate to engage Wayne Morden of Athlone Golf and Sports to look after a golf trip for us. We traveled to Northern Ireland in late May 2025 to meet another golf couple and proceeded have exceptional golf experiences at Ardglass, Royal County Down, Royal Portrush and Holywood. All of the golf arrangements made by Wayne were perfect, very-well planned and so well laid out. As a bonus, our weather was exceptional with only about 25 minutes of rain at one of the courses. Maybe Wayne arranged that too?

In addition to our amazing golf experience, our hotel arrangements were exactly as promised and met or exceeded all of our expectations. The Slieve Donard, Bushmills Inn, The Merchant and Portmarnock were excellent.

On Wayne’s advice, we hired a car and driver for the duration of the trip. Mike Taylor was a wonderful driver and tour guide. Wayne also had touristy suggestions for us that were all enjoyed. Thanks to Alison Fooks of Athlone for assisting with some of the arrangements.

We had an unforgettable trip that will provide a lifetime of wonderful memories.
