Book Review – Boomerang by Michael Lewis

Icelandic fishermen turned investment bankers. Greeks do not pay taxes. Irish property developers grossly overbuilt with bankers support. Germans believed Americans. Wall Street gambled and almost sunk the world’s financial ship. Boomerang is a startling book to read and I sense a deja vu. We have not learned from past mistakes. I stared at the ghost houses that sit empty by Enniscrone Golf Club in the North and West of Ireland. They are stark reminders of this era and have new meaning to me. For those who liked The Big Short this is a must purchase. You shake your head.
