Book Review – Commander in Cheat: How Golf Explains Trump

Hats off to Rick Reilly’s engaging and highly entertaining, Commander in Cheat. Stories of foot wedges, altered scores, raking putts, preferred lies and help from caddies. He wears his hat indoors, tees up first and drives carts on tees and greens. And Trump never walks. Bullying of neighbours at Trump International in Aberdeen. Turnberry is mentioned with a funny Greenpeace moment. Stormy Daniels, Natalie Gulbis and LPGA stories are included. Trump wants a retaining wall at his Irish Doonbeg course paid for due to climate change but of course he doesn’t believe in climate change. Interesting that those Muslim countries he his building golf courses are not banned from the U.S. There is so much in this book that tells about Trump’s character. I believe how you conduct yourself on the golf course is how you behave in business (politics) and at home. Be prepared for another four more years of President Trump with a 2.8 index (not), spending 25% of his time on his properties and playing every four days while running the Oval Office. Is Biden a golfer?
