My husband Sean and I returned recently from a trip to Costa Navarino, Greece on the recommendation of Wayne Morden (Athlone Golf and Sports).  Golf in Greece?  We had never heard of this destination golf area so people should get there while the fees are relatively low and before everyone starts going.  The resort is located in the Messinia area of Greece which is a 3.5 hour drive from Athens International Airport.  The highway was great and it was easy to find.  There’s also an airport in Kalamata just an hour away with direct flights from several European airports.  The actual resort area has 4 major hotels and 4 world class golf courses with stunning views and great clubhouses.  The courses are meticulously maintained and the designs are all different and challenging.  We cannot thank Wayne enough for finding us the perfect golf destination and handling every detail with care (as usual).  While golf was our primary focus this trip, Costa Navarino has something for everyone, sprawling beaches and surf, incredible spas, shopping and a foodies paradise. This place has everything and we cannot wait to go back.
