Book Review – Men in Green

I really enjoyed reading the new book Men in Green by Michael Bamberger. The well-known author goes on a road trip with his old friend Mike Donald to meet people on his list of golf heroes. You may remember Mike Donald as that journeyman pro who pushed Hale Irwin to the limit at the 1990…

Book Review – No Tie Required

No Tie Required: How the rich stole golf by Christopher Cairns. It was an educational and amusing book of the author’s search of an affordable, non-restrictive, public heart of golf in Britain. Private, municipal, auxiliary and different types of golf courses and clubs are compared along with his golfing experiences with different characters. Enjoy the read.

Book Review – Tiger, Meet My Sister

For an entertaining read of sports short stories you will want to pick up Rick Reilly’s, Tiger, meet my sister…and other things I probably shouldn’t have said. There is even a chapter on Aberdeen, Scotland and the making of Trump International Golf Course. And the contentious windmills clash is detailed beautifully. Canadians know only too well, “If the elephant sneezes, the mouse catches the cold”. What happens if The Donald becomes the U.S. President?

Book Review – Out of the Rough

I enjoyed reading Steve Williams’ new book, Out of the Rough more than I thought. This well known Kiwi caddy certainly expresses his strong opinions about time spent with Raymond Floyd, Greg Norman, Adam Scott and of course, Tiger. There are some pointed comments on why he doesn’t like Vijay, Sergio and Phil along with…
