Cabot Cape Breton

Canadian tourism has done a dismal job in promoting our country as a fine golf destination to the global golfing audience. I thought I would like to educate golfers by offering interesting insights on why they should visit. Here is the first of many pieces…The Great White North has only two true links golf courses. Where are they? Cabot Cape Breton. Canucks love their links golf fix and travel extensively to play in the UK and Ireland. However, Cabot Links and Cabot Cliffs offer the Canadian version in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. We finally have golf travellers coming to Eastern Canada and Americans love to visit and some call it endearingly as Bandon Dunes East. I have played both wonderful courses and feel kind of Scottish in a way when playing these modern gems. Many people don’t know that there is also the newer 10-hole Nest Golf Course. Make sure you grab a whisky to play this short course and add this to your itinerary. Cabot has put a Canadian brand on the global golf map. About time. Cabot started here and now the company is spreading its tentacles to St. Lucia, Revelstoke, Cabot Highlands, Le Medoc, Lofoten Links, Citrus Farms and I am sure more to come! Glad to speak with you so you can learn more or I can build an itinerary for your next custom golf trip. I can be contacted at 250-864-4051, wayne@athlonegolftours.com in British Columbia.
