Currency Exchange
Americans have been indifferent for the most part about thinking of Canada for golf and most everything else. I understand as they are the big elephant and we are the quiet mouse. However, have they thought about the currency exchange and how it could help them be curious to visit? Right now, Americans can purchase about 140-145 Canadian dollars for 1 greenback (I know because I just travelled to Florida to play Cabot Citrus Farms). The value will even be greater when incoming President Trump slaps 25% tariffs on Canuck products early in the new year and tries to make us the 51st state. Yes, our friends to the south can say they have wonderful golf courses so why come to the Great White North? Well, the currency exchange is one reason but have they ever experienced Rocky Mountain golf in majestic Banff, Alberta with an elk looking at your golf ball close by? Or, beautiful Prince Edward Island by the sea followed by amazing seafood? Travellers love our friendly people, glorious sights and wildlife. European golfers will see great value too comparing to going to expensive Wisconsin or California. Always consider where your currency can get you great value as we will potentially see whip-sawing of dollar/Euro/Pound exchanges moving forward in the wild, wild west world we live in. O Canada! Glad to speak with you so you can learn more or I can build an itinerary for your next custom golf trip. I can be contacted at 250-864-4051, wayne@athlonegolftours.com in British Columbia.
