Did you know this about Canada as a golf destination?
Whistler’s brand is truly a global one and skiers drool when they think about visiting beautiful British Columbia. But what about the golf scene on the green? There are four fine golf courses in Whistler and the surrounding area. Fairmont Chateau Whistler is spectacular and visually the one that stands out for me. Bears can search you out like they did the group behind me one year. Nicklaus North is well thought of and sits in the town. The Arnold Palmer designed Whistler Golf Club is getting a $10 million facelift and will be closed for the 2026 season. For those that don’t want to ride a buggy/power cart then drive about 25 minutes to Pemberton and walk Big Sky. Wonderful golf from this Bob Cupp design with Mt. Currie staring at you. You can ride the gondola, hike and take a helicopter excursion. Lots to do in Whistler. And make sure you spend a couple of days in wonderful Vancouver that resides about 90-120 minutes from Whistler depending on traffic. Glad to speak with you so you can learn more or I can build an itinerary for your next custom golf trip. I can be contacted at 250-864-4051, wayne@athlonegolftours.com in British Columbia.
