Big Brand USA or Golf’s Road Less Travelled

America does everything big-malls, Texas, Big Gulp and golf course brands. Pinehurst, Bandon, Pebble and Kiawah. They are bucket list category and golfers pant when they hear these words. But what about playing in those regions less heralded like St. George’s, Utah, Tucson, AZ, Bend, Oregon, Austin, TX or even Nebraska? When constructing bespoke golf tours, I ask more questions than most and will sometimes try to pique the interest for going somewhere new, different. Don’t get me wrong, these American courses are magnificent. They are also expensive and busy. Try Ventana Canyon, Tetherow, Sand Hollow or Dismal River. Fantastic.
