Scottish Music at an Irish Pub in New Scotland

| |

I wandered over to The Wee Snug Ale House to sip a Guinness or two before embarking on next day’s One Ocean Expeditions golf cruise of Eastern Canada. I was in luck as Kitchenfest, a week long tribute to Gaelic music was running throughout Cape Breton. After great Irish stew, a Guinness and Murphy’s (latter is more chocolatey) I thoroughly enjoyed listening to fine music involving two fiddles, a guitar and a keyboard. Individuals did a quick dance and then my table at the front was pushed back for four couples to swirl on the floor. Nice to experience Gaelic culture in Sydney, Nova Scotia before amazing golf.
