The Paradisus chain own a number of hotels on Bavaro Beach, and it is important to note we refer to the Royal Service rooms at the Palma Real Resort. Located in sumptuous gardens and with one of the best sections of beach on this coast, adults-only Royal Service guests enjoy exclusive check-in and check-out, butler service, private Royal Service lounge, and preferential reservations for specialty restaurants, spa, activities and excursions.

The resort offers a superlative experience with its all-suite accommodations, private beach and pool areas and a beach lounge exclusively for guests staying in Royal Service suites. The Royal Service rooms feature 166 oversized luxury suites with garden or ocean views and are equipped with elegant mahogany furniture, Jacuzzi for two, plasma television, CD player and a private terrace. There are seven international gourmet dining options, all of which offer very good food. The market grill is particularly good, offering outstanding Argentinean beef cooked over charcoal. To relax between rounds of golf at Cocotal (see our blog review), the resort’s signature Spa Paradisus is a two-story, 8,611 square foot, Zen-like respite.

Rounding out Paradisus Palma Real Resorts’ guest offerings are activities such as cooking, wine tasting, tango lessons, kite surfing and photography classes; non-motorized water sports; scuba diving; snorkeling; horseback riding; four tennis courts; three swimming pools – including one of the largest in the Caribbean at 37,600 square feet; nightly entertainment and casino action.

The Palma Real Reserve enclave within the resort is equally luxurious, but tends to cater to families with children and is a 10 minute walk from the beach.  We did find that the swim up pool at the end of your small garden was terrific.  Also, a small cabana sits in each garden, so that you can enjoy a rest in a covered canopy and keep cool with the ever present breeze from Bavaro Beach.
