I hummed that popular Get a Piece of the Rock Prudential Insurance jingle while travelling the coastal highway of southern Spain. Older people will remember these campy 70’s commercials  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaaisYNYxvs. Gibraltar, known as the Rock and a British Territory makes its distinct presence known in the golf hotbed of spectacular Spanish golf. You can stay in nearby Estepona like we did to visit the two courses at San Roque, magnificent Finca Cortesin and the next Solheim Cup host, Sotogrande, La Reserva and of course Valderrama. Valderrama is a spectacular golf club property with an immaculate practice range, a regal disposition and majestic course made famous by Seve and his winning European 1997 Ryder Cup side on this course. I loved examining the photos in the clubhouse. Weather, tapas, wine, gorgeous sights, great golf and more make this area of Spain a great place to go on a golf adventure. And along the coast you can see Spain, Gibraltar and Morocco all in a line along the Straits of Gibraltar. Not too many places you see three countries in such proximity. Now back to my humming and dreaming of another trip to Spain…
