Tom Coyne’s Bible of Irish Golf
You have to love a book that starts, “The dog was going to be a problem”. This is especially so when it is about a Philadelphian who walks around Ireland and Northern Ireland to play all their links courses in Keen’s hiking boots (ask about Castlerock). Sticky pad notes and underlined passages are plentiful in my copy of A Course Called Ireland. Learn about links golf, run ins with the British Army and where to down the best Guinness. I have used this book as the bible for our Verma Cup trips. He is writing one now about his experiences playing British golf http://www.tomcoyne.com. I can’t wait to get my copy next year.
