Ancient Moorish Castles, fine food and the best golf in Portugal

Join Jordan Caron for an unforgettable holiday of great food, great golf, and fascinating culture

One of Jordan’s favourite destinations, Portugal has so much to offer the travelling golfer.  “Whilst Portugal might be well known for some of the best golf courses in Europe, most visiting golfers never enjoy the fascinating history of this seafaring nation, with its ancient castles and beautiful fishing ports.  We have discovered a number of fine local restaurants, some high end places for sure, but many are inexpensive communal places, where you sit on benches and tuck into the freshest local seafood and jugs of local wine, while you laugh with local residents who speak barely a word of English.  It is really what a holiday is all about”

Arriving into Lisbon Airport, our group (maximum 24 people) will be taken by coach to the beautiful 5* Quinta da Marinha Resort, just outside Cascais.  This “Great Hotel of the World”  is located inside the UNESCO Sintra Cascais National Park and has all the amenities we need for our stay, including 5 different dining options.  Whilst here, we will play the Quinta da Marinha course itself, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Oitavos Golfe, and the beautful Links at Praia d’el Rey.

Transferring to the Algarve, we check into the classic 5* hotel the Dona Filipe which gives us access to the world ranked San Lorenzo course, as well as the new Nicklaus design Monte Rei – a breathtaking new course we can’t wait to play again, having been there shortly after its opening. Between Castles, beaches and great food, we will also take in the final round of the Portugal Masters at the Vilamoura Victoria, a key stop on the European Tour and a great final stop on your tour of Portugal.
