In speaking with people on the phone recently about life and business during these unsettling times, it has reinforced to me the need to use this important communication tool. Email, Messenger and texting have become too out of control that simply picking up the phone will connect you more deeply. This could be your mother, a good friend from Queen’s U, a business acquaintance or a potential golf travel client. Your conversation can go down different and interesting paths that you don’t expect and you can feel the smile or hear the laugh. A phone call is becoming a lost communication art like handwriting a note (remember cursive writing?). Try it and you may hear a hearty “Thank you for calling”. I do.
