Golf and Malls in the Same Boat

While reading a Time Magazine piece on mall closings and thinking about the inevitable shuttering of Glen Abbey Golf Course and host of the Canadian Open, I conclude that society has permanently shifted. Online behemoths like Amazon have stolen the thrill out of shopping at malls and laid waste to many retail stores. Golf courses will struggle and youngsters and adults have already turned to other sports and Instagram to spend time. Malls like golf courses will be gobbled up by residential property developers for the valuable land. Disruption will continue in an era of constant change.
