In Pursuit of the Sturgeon Head Trophy

I reeled in the prize but it was for winning a golf tournament and not a fishing competition. The last victory for me at this esteemed “Major” was in 2005 and my drought was kaput. Draining a 30 footer on the last green at Windermere in front of my peers put an exclamation point on the great golf trip that Chief hosts annually in Muskoka cottage country. Comradeship, boat tours, fine meals, golf and telling of old war stories from Queen’s U. days make this a must visit for me coming from BC to my old Ontario stomping grounds. If you do not have a golf trip tradition put one together and buy a trophy. Nice to show it around…
