The “e” is a big deal between whisky and whiskey
Since I am hosting a Scottish golf trip next week with Canadians and Americans, whisky tasting is on. Lagavulin Whisky or Dalmore Whisky. Now if I was venturing to Ireland then it would be whiskey. Bushmills, Jameson Whiskey. People can make the mistake with the “e” and it can ruffle feathers. There is Canadian Club Whisky. Then there is American whiskey. Could these spelling differences be because Canucks have a bigger connection to Scotland while the Yanks with the Irish? Whatever the spelling, you are in for a treat when having a sip.
