How about this for a line-up of high calibre links golf by these respective hotels—Old Course, North Berwick and Royal Troon ? I have stayed at all of them. These are solid 4* hotels in Scotland with a historic touch and AJ is investing in them with further improvements (rooftop bar at Rusacks along the 18th hole). I highly recommend staying in at least one of them during your golf career. I will never forget hoisting my golf clubs from the storage room at the Rusacks, walking by locals and the R & A and then launching my opening drive on the Old. How great is that!
